Claiming to be "pre-Gap commercial", Todd Dewey is one of the founding members of the Denver swing scene. Although he had been performing for several years, it was only after he joined 23 Skidoo! that he entered the national competition circuit. Since then, he has taken his dancing to a new level and is now a 3-time National Jitterbug Champion, 4-time Lindy on the Rocks Champ, 3-time Midwest Lindyfest Champ and has won over 20 other competitions. Having adapted to various trends in the lindy scene over the years, Todd finally decided that finding his own unique style and committing to it was the best thing he could have ever done for his dancing. He believes that each dancer should find what works for them and pursue it. He now travels and teaches nationally and recently filmed over 60 clips for iDance.net, an internationally-renowned dance instructor resource. He has studied all forms of vintage dance from tap to charleston to blues, but he is most passionate about Lindy Hop and Balboa, and plans to continue studying and sharing these dances with the world.
