From an early age Kent (aka Jr.), honed his craft under the dim glow of street lights. With nothing more than his shadow as his mentor, Jr. self developed his hip-hop techniques before gaining formal training at Prarieview A&M in Texas. Here he became the only male dance major at the University. At the age of 18, Jr became a member of Prarieview A&M's Classic Dance Ensemble; formally a dance company of 20 women. His training includes Hip-hop, modern, African, Latin, tap, jazz, ballet, & dancehall. He also has trained at Broadway Dance Center, Alvin Ailey, Steps, Motion Underground, Colorado State University, Cleo Parker Robinson, & Canyon Concert Ballet. His hip-hop technique and choreography has been described as 'smooth, powerful, & eye popping.' Jr. currently resides in Denver, CO, where he continues his shadow mentorship over students of all ages as the hip-hop director of Unleashed Dance Studios.
